Crown Prince visits Museum of Islamic Art

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, who is on an official visit to the State of Qatar, yesterday morning met His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar at the Amiri Diwan in Doha. Accompanying His Royal Highness to the Amiri Diwan was Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Minister of State of Internal Affairs.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. His Royal Highness and His Highness proceeded to the Diwaniya Room for an official meeting.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness and His Highness discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

After the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince attended an official luncheon hosted by His Highness the Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar.

Accompanying His Royal Highness was Prince Abdul Qawi.

Also present were Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and other senior officials.

In the afternoon, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince visited the Museum of Islamic Art. On arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by Mr Rashid Al-Hajiri, Head of Protocol of the Museum of Islamic Art.

His Royal Highness took a closer look at artefacts on display at the museum. Amongst the exhibition visited by His Royal Highness included the "the Book of Secrets" owned by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, and "the gift of the Sultan".

Before leaving the museum, His Royal Highness signed the visitors' book and received a pesambah presented by Mr Rashid Al-Hajiri.

Accompanying His Royal Highness during the visit was Prince Abdul Qawi.
