His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, on his recent appointment as the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

In the message, His Majesty much appreciated the friendly ties between the people of Brunei Darussalam and the Russian Federation and the valuable cooperation between the two countries.

In ending the message, His Majesty looked forward to working closely with Prime Minister Medvedev to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and wished him much success in his new term as Prime Minister. - Borneo Bulletin (24 May 2012)
