His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan and General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, consented to attend military parade marking the 51st anniversary celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) yesterday.
The event was held at the Marching Ground of the Royal Brunei Naval Base in Muara.
The Deputy Sultan was greeted on arrival by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Mustappa bin Hj Sirat, and the Commander of the RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Hj Abidin.
Shortly upon arriving at the Marching Ground of the Royal Brunei Naval Base, the Deputy Sultan received a Royal Salute, before proceeding to inspect a giant assembly of military personnel taking part in the parade. They comprised 1,251 combined service men and women of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force, Training Institute RBAF, Special Force Regiment, RBAF Women Personnel and Military Band, under the command of parade commander Lieutenant Colonel Khairil bin Hj Ismail.
After the inspection, the event proceeded with the military parade, which began with a slow movement followed by a fast movement of parade personnel carrying the RBAF Crest.
After the slow and fast parade, the military personnel went back to their line and the Deputy Sultan delivered the Sabda.
After the Sabda, the event continued with a doa selamat.
The event concluded with a Royal Salute, followed with the passing air parade performed by pilots of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
