His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, the President of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, yesterday arrived at the 3rd Asian Beach Games Athlete Village.

Upon arrival, HRH was welcomed by Ms Dancy Zhang, External Relations Department, 3rd Asian Beach Games Organising Committee Haiyang 2012. Also present to welcome HRH were Chef de Mission of Brunei Darussalam, Dayang Mariam bte Ulat, officers of the Secretariat and the Brunei National Sepak Takraw team.

One of the important matters raised by HRH while meeting with the Brunei National Sepak Takraw team was that athletes must always be focussed during competitions.

HRH called on all players to concentrate when competing and Inshy Allah (God Willing), the Brunei athletes will be able to give a strong showing.

In a sabda to the team, HRH emphasised that players should not be nervous when competing because it will affect their performance.

HRH prayed for the National Sepak Takraw team to always be in good health and high spirit to compete in their matches that will commence within the next few days. - Borneo Bulletin (19 June 2012)
