His Royal Highness Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, the President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, on Friday attended the team welcoming ceremony for the 3rd Asian Beach Games 2012 at the Flag Plaza of the Games Village, Haiyang in China.

Besides the Brunei Darussalam contingent, present at the ceremony were contingents from Bahrain, Maldives, Nepal and Syria.

Brunei Darussalam's contingent is led by its Chef de Mission to 3rd Asian Beach Games, Dayang Mariam Ulat.

The ceremony included Chinese cultural performance, the raising of the flag of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) as well as the flag of each nation in sequence namely Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Maldives, Nepal and Syria.

Brunei's Sepak Takraw team is scheduled to be in action against Indonesia on June 20, 2012. - Borneo Bulletin (17 June 2012)
