His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mr Francois Hollande, President of the Republic of France, on the occasion of his inauguration as the President of the Republic of France.

In the message to Mr Hollande, His Majesty wished him much success and looked forward to working with the French President to strengthen both the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as important cooperation in the Asean-EU Dialogue and the Asia-Europe meeting.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his very best wishes to Mr Hollande in all his future work, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Republic of France. - Borneo Bulletin (16 May 2012)
