His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday graced the 'Majlis Bersanding' ceremony of the son of HRH Princess Hajah Masna and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz, YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Qudduus with Dayangku Ratna Siti Nooraisyah binti Dato Paduka Haji Hamzad.
Also in attendance at the ceremony, which was held at Darun Noor in Kg Telanai, were HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; HRH Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Norhayati; HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik and HRH Prince 'Abdul Wakeel.
Also present were HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah as well as other members of the royal family.
Their Majesties were greeted upon arrival at Darun Noor by HRH Princess Hajah Masna and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.
With the bride already seated at the 'pelamin' (bridal seating area) in the hall, the bridegroom entered the hall accompanied by his brother YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Wadood Bolkiah and Syariah High Court Judge, Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Hj Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, who took the bridegroom's hand and placed it gently on the bride's forehead to bless her and signify the official union.
A doa selamat was also read by the Syariah High Court Judge to bless the ceremony.
YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Qudduus is the fourth son of HRH Princess Hajah Masna and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz. He is the youngest of five siblings.
Adorned in matching and immaculate traditional attire under the decorative settings of the pelamin, YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Qudduus and Dayangku Ratna Siti Nooraisyah, both of whom looked visibly radiant, made their way out of the pelamin onto the main entrance together as a married couple.
Their Majesties and members of the royal family consented to receive 'junjung ziarah' from the bride and the bridegroom before leaving the ceremony.
