Crown Prince attends coronation of M'sia's 14th Agong

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office - as the personal representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam - along with Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pg Hj Salleh Ab Rahaman consented to attend the coronation ceremony of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku AlHaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah as the 14th Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia at the Istana Negara.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri were greeted upon their arrival by the Minister of Information, Communications and Culture, Dato' Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim - in his capacity as the Chairman of the Special Coronation Committee - and his spouse, Datin Seri Utama Masnah Rais as well as other members of the committee.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri then proceeded to the Seri Maharaja Hall and then the Balairong Seri where the coronation took place.

After the ceremony, an official photo session took place at the Seri Negara Hall for the newly crowned Malaysian ruler. During this time, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri also consented to have their photos taken prior to leaving the ceremony.

Duli Yang Maha Mulia Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku AlHaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah was appointed as the 14th Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia on December 13, 2011, where he succeeded the 13th Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah.

Also accompanying His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri was Prince Abdul Qawi. - Borneo Bulletin (12 April 2012)
