His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in separate audiences Mr Noriki Hirose, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam and Mr M Shameem Ahsan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam.

The envoys will be completing their tour of duty to the country.

First to have an audience with His Majesty was Mr Noriki Hirose, who had presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on November 7, 2009.

His Majesty later received in audience Mr M Shameem Ahsan, who had presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty January 10, 2009. - Borneo Bulletin (11 September 2012)
