Royalty graces launch of groundbreaking ISB project

HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah yesterday graced the official launching ceremony of the International School Brunei (ISB)'s groundbreaking project to incentivise learning and eradicate polio.

Upon arrival at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas, HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah was greeted by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman and senior officials from ISB.

Before proceeding to the Main Conference Hall of the ICC, HRH took a group photograph with the core committee of the project as well as senior government officials and distinguished guests.

Upon arrival at the Main Conference Hall, HRH was greeted by the sound of Hadrah by students from ISB. HRH later delivered a sabda and launched the initiative.

The event saw a video presentation of the project, followed by speeches by senior officials from ISB as well as Standard Chartered Bank's Regional CEO for Southeast Asia, which shed more light on the initiative.

This project, also in collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Brunei, the Global Poverty Project, World Health Organization and UNICEF, will see the points reward for students' achievement, which will be converted into vaccines by the sponsorship of SCB. - Borneo Bulletin (11 October 2012)
