His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday morning consented to receive in audience Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and his spouse, Mrs Emine Erdogan, at the Cheradi Laila Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.

The Turkish Prime Minister and his spouse were in the country for a two-day visit.

The Turkish delegation included: Ms Summeyye Erdogan, the daughter of the Turkish Prime Minister; Besir Atalay, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and his spouse, Mrs Yildiz Atalay; Omer Celik, Member of Parliament; Ahmet Edip Ugur, Member of Parliament; and other senior officials from the Republic of Turkey.

After the audience, His Majesty and Her Majesty consented to host a luncheon at Istana Nurul Iman in honour of the Turkish Prime Minister, his spouse and delegation.
