His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday morning received the call by Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV of Malaysia, Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah, who are in the country for a three-day State Visit.
Present to accompany Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong from the hotel of residence to Istana Nurul Iman were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah.
Also accompanying were His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, as members of the Royal Family in Attendance.
Their Majesties consented to welcome the arrival of Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Upon arrival, Their Majesties together with Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong went up the Royal Dais for the Royal Salute followed by the national anthems of both countries and 21-gun salutes. His Majesty and Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong then descended the main stairs of the Istana Nurul Iman to inspect the Guard of Honour mounted by the Royal Brunei Land Forces.
Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong then consented to receive bouquets of flowers presented by His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah, and in turn presented HRH Prince 'Abdul Wakeel and HRH Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah with gift baskets.
Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong were then introduced to the members of the royal family, Speaker of the Legislative Council, Cabinet Ministers, members of the Privy Council, Deputy Ministers, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Commissioner of Police, foreign envoys in Brunei Darussalam, and members of the Legislative Council, as well as the permanent secretaries at the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and their spouses.
Their Majesties were then introduced to the members of the delegation of Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
The entourage accompanying Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong included His Royal Highness Tunku Temenggong Kedah, Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin; Her Royal Highness Toh Puan Temenggong Kedah, Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Dato' Tengku Maliha, Her Royal Highness Tunku Panglima Besar Kedah, Dato' Seri Diraja Tunku Puteri Intan Shafinaz, Her Royal Highness Dato' Seri Diraja Tunku Soraya, His Royal Highness Raja Kechil Besar Perak, Raja Dato' Seri Iskander Zulkarnain, Dato' Raja Nong Chik, Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Well Being of Malaysia, Datin Nafesah and also Dato' Seri Abdullah Sani Omar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam and Datin Adeda Rahimah.
A Call-on Ceremony was then held at the Cheradi Laila Kencana. Also present at the ceremony were HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, YAM Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah, HRH Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah, HRH Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim, HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik, HRH Prince 'Abdul Wakeel, HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bokliah, HRH Princess Hajah Masna, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam as well as other members of the royal family.

Also attending the ceremony were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Education as the Minister-in-Attendance and Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohamad, Dato' Raja Nong Chik, Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Well Being of Malaysia, Datin Nafesah, Dato' Seri Abdullah Sani Omar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam and Datin Adeda Rahimah.
To welcome the State Visit of Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong, some 5,000 students lined up along the main road towards the main entrance of Istana Nurul Iman, waving flags of both countries.
