His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office continued with his official visit to the Republic of Singapore.
On Tuesday morning, His Royal Highness Prince General visited the Murai Urban Training Facility in Lim Chu Kang. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Major General Ravinder Singh, Chief of Army of Singapore, and preceded to the conference room to sign the visitor's book. HRH later watched the army corporate video and listened to a briefing about the training facility from the Army Training Doctrine.
HRH also had the opportunity to tour the training facility and later test drove the Infantry Carrier Vehicle - Terrex, an armoured military vehicle developed and built in Singapore.
Before leaving the Murai Urban Training Facility, His Royal Highness received a 'pesambah' and Infantry Carrier Vehicle - Terrex driving licence from the Chief of Army.
His Royal Highness' visit to the Murai Urban Training Facility was followed by a visit to the Sembawang Airbase and was greeted by Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defence and Major General Ng Chee Meng, Chief of Air Force of Singapore. At the airbase, His Royal Highness received the Royal Salute and inspected the Camp Quarter Guard mounted by Singapore Air Force.
His Royal Highness later signed the visitor's book before listening to a briefing regarding the airbase held in the conference room.
After the briefing session, His Royal Highness proceeded to the hangar to have a closer look at the Seahawk and Rescue helicopter, one of the military helicopters used by the Singapore Air Force.
His Royal Highness then visited the Helicopter Simulation Centre where His Royal Highness was briefed and later tried out one of the helicopter simulation programmes available at the centre.
Before leaving the airbase, His Royal Highness received a 'pesambah' from the Minister of Defence and the Chief of Air Force.
Accompanying His Royal Highness during the visits were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince Abdul Qawi.
Also present were Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Development; Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister's Office; Dato Paduka Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and other senior officials.
