His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction over the warm and friendly relations shared by the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty also hoped that there would be opportunities to further strengthen these ties.

In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah the Almighty would bless the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran with continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to his counterpart, Dr Ali Akbar Salehi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"I have much pleasure in sending my congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on your National Day," HRH said in the message.
