The Attorney General's Chambers celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri yesterday at the Law and Courts Building in Jalan Tutong with the theme 'Meriah dan Ceria di Aidilfitri', representing the festive mood of the event.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah graced the event.

Also present were Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Hayati Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh, the Attorney General and Dayang Naimah binti Md Alo, the Solicitor General.

The event began with an opening speech by Dayang Hajah Rahayu Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Razak, Co-Chair of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1433 Committee. In her speech, she said that Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a time for strengthening friendships and family ties amongst all Muslims.

The event, organised by the Civil Division and the Research and Law Review Division, Attorney General's Chambers, would further strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the officers and staff of the Attorney General's Chambers and also would inculcate good family ties and values.

The event was further enlivened with performances from officers and staff of the Attorney General's Chambers, gifts, Hari Raya decorations and festive food. - Borneo Bulletin (10 September 2012)
