Malaysian Agong begins State Visit

Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV of Malaysia, Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon to begin a three-day State Visit. Present at the Brunei International Airport to welcome Their Majesties were HRH Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim and HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah as members of the royal family in attendance.

Also present at the airport were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Education as Minister-in-Attendance and Datin; Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Datin; and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ishaaq bin Haji Abdullah, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia and Datin.

Upon arrival, Their Majesties walked past the static guard mounted by the Royal Brunei Land Forces before boarding the motorcade towards the hotel where Their Majesties will reside during the visit. - Borneo Bulletin (10 May 2012)
