His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), last night consented to attend a Regimental Dinner to mark the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' 51st anniversary celebrations at the Berakas Garrison Officers' Mess.
His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and General of the RBAF.
His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also consented for a group photo session with the officers of the RBAF.
Welcoming His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince were the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat and the Commander of the RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
Upon arrival of His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince at the Officers' Mess, the National Anthem was played. Shortly after, His Majesty consented to receive a 'pesambah' from officers of the RBAF.
His Majesty and His Royal Highness also mingled with the officers in a meet-and-greet session.
Soon after, His Majesty and His Royal Highness were ushered to the dining hall for the regimental dinner, which was accompanied by orchestral entertainment from the RBAF band.
After the dinner, His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince consented to lead as conductor in orchestrating the RBAF band. His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also consented to sign the royal parchment in commemoration of the occasion.
