Prince Mohamed at Plenary Session of IRENA

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, lauded the establishment of the International Renewable Energy Agency by the United Arab Emirates as HRH attended the plenary session at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre Monday. The Plenary Session was chaired by Dr Sultan Al Jaber, President of the Assembly.

His Royal Highness delivered a statement, thanking the Federal Republic of Germany for the initial idea behind the Agency and congratulating the United Arab Emirates on its impressive work as the permanent host country.

His Royal Highness later held bilateral discussions with Sven Al Kalaj, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His Royal Highness also joined fellow heads of delegations in a tour of IRENA exhibitions and attended a dinner at the Manaret Sa'diyat hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates to welcome all delegates. Also present at the dinner was His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of UAE. - Borneo Bulletin (6th April 2011)
