His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Syed Yousef Raza Gillani, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as well as the government and the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

In the message to Asif Ali Zardari, His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the friendship and cooperation shared between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and looked forward to strengthening this excellent relationship.

Meanwhile, in a similar message to Syed Yousef Raza Gillani, His Majesty also greatly valued the long-standing friendship and cooperation between both countries, and looked forward to continue developing the relationship in the regional and international meetings.

In ending both messages, His Majesty prayed that Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Yousef Raza Gillani and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan would be blessed with continued good health, happiness and prosperity. - Borneo Bulletin (23rd March 2011)
