His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive Letters of Credentials from four new non-resident envoys to the country.
First to present his Letter of Credentials to His Majesty was non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives Mohamed Zaki. The 58-year-old envoy previously served as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Malaysia.
Next was the non-resident Ambassador of Austria, Mag. Andrea Wicke. The 50-year-old envoy previously served as the Ambassador of Austria to Lithuania.
Mexico's non-resident Ambassador Antonio Guillermo Villegas Villalobos, 53, was next. He will be based in Singapore. Previously, he served as Ambassador of Mexico to Norway, Republic of El Salvador, Republic of Paraguay and Republic of Peru.
Lastly, His Majesty received Letter of Credentials from the non-resident Ambassador of Argentina, Maria Isabel Rendon. The 56-year-old envoy previously served as the Ambassador of Argentina to Malaysia.
High Commissioner Mohamed Zaki, Ambassadors Mag. Andrea Wicke and Maria Isabel Rendon are based in Kuala Lumpur, whilst Ambassador Antonio Guillermo Villegas Villalobos is based in Singapore.
