His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday granted an audience to Dr Young Soo-gil, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea, at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Dr Young Soo-gil is currently in Brunei Darussalam for a three-day working visit. Also present during the audience ceremony was Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, received Dr Young Soo-gil at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
Dr Young is the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth and will be representing South Korea at the 18th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
His Royal Highness was briefed on the conference and the current developments and activities of the Republic of Korea.
