Members of the Brunei Ladies Golf Association (BLGA) yesterday celebrated Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman's birthday in a two-in-one ceremony at the Empire Hotel and Country Club yesterday.

BLGA Chairperson Datin Seri Utama Hajah Rosnah binti Abdullah, in her welcoming remarks, said, "On behalf of the Brunei Ladies Golf Association, we would like to thank Her Royal Highness for consenting to attend this afternoon's function to celebrate Her Royal Highness' birthday and also for the generous gift of today's challenge trophy, which is called the BLGA Royal Patron's Challenge Trophy."

Following the speech, members of the association sang a birthday song before Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah cut the birthday cake and received a pesembah from the BLGA chairperson.

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, who is BLGA's Royal Patron, also presented a $13,000 mock cheque to Dr Sharina Haji Yunus, who received the donation on behalf of Learning Ladder.

The donation was part of the proceeds of a charity golf tournament held last year.

Before the conclusion of the celebration, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah presented prizes to the winners of the BLGA Royal Patron's Challenge Trophy competition. - Borneo Bulletin (12th April 2010)
