His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday paid his final respects to the late YAM Pengiran Sura Negara Pg Anak Hj Muhammad Bey Muntassir B Pengiran Indera Mahkota Pengiran Anak (Dr) Kemaludin Al-Haj at Baitul Athirah who passed away on Wednesday evening.

Accompanying His Majesty were Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha, Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar, HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah, HRH Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, YAM Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah, HRH Prince Hj Jefri Bolkiah, HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik, HRH Prince 'Abdul Mateen and other members of the royal family.

His Majesty and other members of the royal family later performed prayers led by the State Mufti.

YAM Pengiran Sura Negara Pg Anak Hj Muhammad Bey Muntassir is the husband of the youngest sister of His Majesty, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah.

His Majesty and other members of the royal family later proceeded to the Royal Mausoleum where the monarch sprinkled 'Ayeng Asah-Asahan'. YAM Pengiran Sura Negara Pg Anak Hj Muhammad Bey Muntassir, 53, is survived by his wife and five children.
