By Amin Hosni

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Salleh Ab Rahaman last night graced the "Institute of Medicine Charity Evening 2008 for SMARTER Brunei" at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.

Last night's event, which was themed "Reach Out, Touch a Heart", was organised by the students of UBD's Institute of Medicine in collaboration with PhuturePhase Productions and RTB.

Public response for the charity event was very encouraging, as most of the $50 tickets had been quickly snapped up. All proceeds will go to SMARTER Brunei.

Her Royal Highness, who was the guest of honour at last night's event, also presented certificates of appreciation to sponsors of the event such as Brunei Press, b.mobile and Cool Tones.

Her Royal Highness also consented to receive a 'pesambah' or token of appreciation from Nur Asmaa Farah and Nelly Wong, the co-chairpersons of the event, as well as Malai Abdullah, the President of SMARTER Brunei.

Various local artistes including Hans Anwar, Putri Norizah, Faiz, Noraishah, Fakhrul Razi, Lo Ryder, Fairuzneezan, Sri Nazrina, Joe M, Millin and Nana from PhuturePhase Productions also showed their support to the charity event.

However, it was SMARTER's children who suffer from autism who stole the hearts of the audience when they performed onstage and recited a poem entitled "Please Don't Shut Me Out Just Because I Have Autism".

There were also performances by Copa Lively Dancers, magic shows by JPCC Club and lucky draws. The highlight of the event was when all the artistes sang a song entitled "Reach Out And Touch A Heart". - Borneo Bulletin (3rd Feb 2008)
