His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to send congratulatory messages to the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Professor Iajuddin Ahmed, and the Chief Adviser of the Bangladeshi Caretaker Government, Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
His Majesty hopes that Prof Iajuddin and Dr Fakhruddin would always remain in good health and happiness, and for the people of Bangladesh to enjoy continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, the Foreign Adviser to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh.
HRH sent his best wishes to Dr Iftekhar and the Bangladeshi people on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bangladesh. HRH looks forward to enhancing bilateral ties between the two countries as partners in the OIC.
