Crown Prince presents medals to 627

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, yesterday awarded State Honorary Medals to 627 recipients in conjunction with His Majesty's 61st birthday.

The second day of the ceremony was held at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana of Istana Nurul Iman in the capital.

The ceremony commenced with the presentation of Pingat Jasa Kebaktian or Meritorious Medals to 35 people by HRH the Crown Prince. Among the recipients were government servants from various ministries and departments.

His Royal Highness then presented Pingat Indah Kerja Baik or Service to the State to 237 government servants, as well as Pingat Kerja Lama or Long Service Medals to 355 people who have been in service for more than 20 years.

Among those present at the ceremony were pengiran-pengiran cheteria, cabinet ministers, members of the councils, deputy ministers, pengiran-pengiran peranakan, pehin-pehin manteri and manteri-manteri pedalaman, as well as foreign diplomats, permanent secretaries and heads of departments. - Borneo Bulletin (20th Feb 2008)
