His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to pay last respects to Allahyarham Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin bin Pengiran Haji Ismail who passed away yesterday.

Allahyarham Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin was 80 years old, RTB reported. His Majesty conveyed his condolences at the family's residence in Kg Telanai.

Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin once held the post of Brunei's Chief Minister and was also appointed as Brunei's ambassador and High Commissioner to several countries. He was appointed a member of the Legislative Council since 2004.

In June 1970, His Majesty bestowed him the title "Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja" and making him a 'Cheteria' for his contributions to the country. - Borneo Bulletin (18th May 2008)
