The Second Committee Meeting for His Majesty the Sultan's 62nd birthday celebration was held at the Lapau in the capital yesterday morning.
The meeting was chaired by Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Md Yusof, Minister of Home Affairs in his capacity as the committee chairman for the national celebration of His Majesty 62nd birthday.
The meeting was attended by Pehin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Awang Haji Dani bin Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pengiran Abd Haris bin Pengiran Haji Shabudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Also present were YAM Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Grand Chamberlain, another permanent secretary, district officers, and senior officers in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Discussed during the meeting were a review of the suggested performances format during His Majesty's meeting and greeting sessions in the four districts and other celebrations, the float procession, the Borneo tug-of-war competition and the fireworks display.
