Crown Prince presents State Honorary Medals

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to award State Honorary Medals to 505 recipients in conjunction with His Majesty's 61st birthday during a ceremony at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana of Istana Nurul Iman yesterday afternoon.

His Majesty was represented at the ceremony by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

Leading the list of awardees was Pg Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pg Anak Hj Idris bin Pg Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar who received the Pingat Bakti Laila Iklas, PBLI. Four others also received this award.

His Royal Highness then presented Meritorious Medals or Pingat Jasa Kebaktian, PJK to 130 people. Among the recipients were government servants from various ministries and departments as well as members of uniformed establishments.

Meanwhile, 232 people received Medals for Service to the State or Pingat Indah Kerja Baik, PIKB. Another 138 people, who have worked for at least 20 years, received Long Service Medals or Pingat Kerja Lama.

Among those present at the ceremony were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Councils, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri and Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman.
