The first meeting to discuss events to mark His Majesty's 62nd birthday celebration for the Temburong District was held recently at the Temburong District Office.
The meeting was chaired by Awg Metussin bin OKS Haji Tuba, the Acting Temburong District Officer. Also present were Hj Sulaiman bin Hj Ahmad, member of the State Legislative Council, heads of department, members from the private sector, penghulu and village heads.
According to the Acting Temburong District Officer, among the events scheduled to mark His Majesty's upcoming 62nd birthday include the flag raising ceremony, thanksgiving prayers at mosques and suraus in the Temburong District, get-together with His Majesty ceremony, field performance, river procession, stage performances and religious activities.
Other activities to be held also include the Food & Fruits Festival, Baby Show, tug-of-war, pencak silat contest and sports tournament such as badminton, sepak takraw, netball and volleyball competitions.
