Princess Masna awards prizes

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Commandant of Women Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force, yesterday consented to award prizes to winners of the Women Police Inter-Branch Annual Shooting Competition 2007.

Arriving at the Police Officers Mess at the Police Headquarters in Gadong, the Princess was greeted by Ag. SAC Sharifah Salamah Dato Syed Hussein Alkaff, Ag.S/Supt Hjh Fatimah Hj Sh Salleh, Supt Pg Datin Mariam Pg Hj Othman and DSP Hjh Aminah Mohd Yassin.

Emerging as the champions of the team event was Branch 'D' Team with 398 points who was also overall champions as well as champion in the 'Falling Plate' category thus walking away with the Women Police Challenge Trophy.

First runner-up meanwhile went to Branch 'B' team with 322 points and Second runner-up with 316 points went to Branch 'A' team.

In the Officers Team category meanwhile Officers team 3, led by the Commandant of Women Police, emerged as the Champions with 158 points followed with Officers Team 4 (123 points) and Officers Team 2(107 points) taking the first and second runner-ups respectively.

The Champion's team members comprised ASP Roziawatty Abd Rahman, ASP Nur Haidah Hj Abd Halim, Asp Zalia Hj Zaini and Ag.C/Insp Halimah Hj Nayan. ASP Roziawatty also walked away with the Best Shooter prize.

Officers Team 4 meanwhile was led by Ag. SAC Sharifah Salamah and her team ASP Gina See Yok Gan, Ag. ASP Hjh Kamariah OKP Shari, Insp Pg Hjh Mariam Pg Hj Tuah and P/Insp Azlin Muhammad.

Leading the second runner-up team was Supt Pg Datin Mariam and her team members DSP Hjh Aminah Hj Mohd Yassin, Ag. ASP Hjh Dayang Hj Omar, Insp Hayati Tassim and P/Insp Zalinda Susan Skinner.

After the prize presentation ceremony, HRH viewed stage performances by members of the Women Police and consented to a get together session with those in attendance at the ceremony yesterday. Her Royal Highness also joined senior officers and officers of the Women Police for a group photo during yesterday's function. - Borneo Bulletin (9th September 2007)
