A Nuzul al-Quran and a thanksgiving ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty's 40-year reign was held at the UBD's mosque yesterday.
Organised by the Postal Services Department, the event was an annual activity held during the month of Ramadhan.
Present as the guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Hj Abu Bakar Hj Apong, the Minister of Communications.
The event began with the reading of Surah al-Fatihah followed by the recital of verses from the Quran by officers and staff of the Ministry of Communications and the departments under it.
This was then followed by a tahlil and doa arwah led by Hj Abdul Warith Hj Raimi, UBD's Imam.
The event then continued with a doa kesyukuran in conjunction with 40 years of His Majety's reign in Brunei.
