Time has passed quickly since His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam ascended to become Sultan on October 5, 1967 to replace his father, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien to become the 29th Sultan of Brunei.
That was an unforgettable event experienced by the subjects and all layers of the citizens and residents of Brunei.
Since then, His Majesty's 40 years of leadership has seen development, progress, security and problems of the people have been taken into account by the government of His Majesty the Sultan such as education, as well as the needs of the people.
During this time His Majesty's reign of Negara Brunei Darussalam has become well known and respected throughout the world.
