Prince Mohamed in S'pore for Exchange visit

A high-level delegation from Brunei, led by Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, arrived in Singapore yesterday for the 13th Singapore-Brunei Exchange Visit, Channel NewsAsia reported yes-terday.

HRH Prince Mohamed and his wife HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hajah Zariah were greeted on arrival at the Changi International Airport by Singapore Senior Minister of State (Foreign Affairs) Zainul Abidin Rasheed

Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry said the visit was part of a series of annual exchanges initiated by former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong in 1990.

The aim is to promote interaction between Brunei and Singapore leaders, civil servants and businessmen in an informal setting.

During the visit, HRH Prince Mohamed will receive a briefing from the Economic Development Board and will visit the Biopolis. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will also host a reception. This year's programme includes an informal meeting between the senior officials and a networking session for the businessmen to discuss topics of mutual interest.

The weekend activities will be hosted by Singapore Foreign Minister Mr George Yeo and Mrs Jennifer Yeo.
