His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, also the Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), yesterday consented to receive in audience Singapore's Minister of Defence, Teo Chee Hean, at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Accompanying the Singapore Defence Minister was Brunei's Deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, and Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei, Mr Joseph K H Koh.
Also present at the audience ceremony were Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Salbiah binti Haji Sulaiman, the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, and Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Yassin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, received Mr Teo at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
His Royal Highness welcomed the Singapore minister and discussed relations between the two countries. Mr Teo is in Brunei on a three-day visit.
