Colourful floats enliven Temburong town

A water float procession was held at Dermaga Bangar Town, Temburong, in conjunction with His Majesty's 61st birthday celebrations for the first time ever. The guest of honour for the event was Awg Matusin bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba, Assistant Temburong District Officer.

The programme began at 7.30pm with the arrival of AJK and participants. The water float procession began at 8.30pm, after the arrival of the guest of honour. A doa selamat was recited to bless the event.

There were three categories in the competition: the government department category, the individual category and the mukim-mukim and kampong category. The programme ended at 10.30pm. - Borneo Bulletin (30th July 2007)
