Prince Mohamed leaves for Manila

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah yesterday left for Manila, Republic of Philippines. His Royal Highness is scheduled to attend the 40th Asean Ministerial Meeting, Post Ministerial Conferences and the 14th Asean Regional Forum, there.

Present to see His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness off were HRH Princess Hajah Masna Ambassador at Large, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng Second Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Virginia H Benavadiz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Phillippines to Brunei and other senior government officers.

Philippines is scheduled to host the 40th Asean Ministerial Meeting (AMM), Post Ministerial Conferences (PMC) and the 14th Asean Regional Forum (ARF) that started from the July 22 till August 2, 2007 at the Philippine International Convention Centre, Manila, Philippines.

The meetings will draw together 27 countries having direct bearings on the security of the Asia-Pacific region. It comprises 10 Asean member states (Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam); the 10 Asean dialogue partners (Australia, Canada, China, the EU, India, Japan, New Zealand, ROK, Russia and the United States), two Asean observers (Papua New Guinea and Timor
