Prince Mohamed greets S'pore premier

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah yesterday welcomed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Mr Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee Hsien Loong at the International Airport Berakas.

Also present were Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, RBAF Commander and RBPF Commissioner, as well as Permanent Secretaries at the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The Prime Minister of Singapore is accompanied by 30 state dignitaries from the Republic of Singapore.

Among them are Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr George Yeo, Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang, and Minister of Manpower and Second Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Zariah were greeted on arrival at the International Airport Berakas by the RBAF Commander and RBPF Commissioner.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah proceeded to the dais to receive the royal salute, followed by the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam being played and the Personal Standard of HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah hoisted.

Mr Lee Hsien Loong and wife were later introduced to Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Suyoi Hj Osman, the Minister of Health, as the Minister-in-Attendance, and Pg Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yusof Pg Hj Kula, the High Commissioner of Brunei to the Republic of Singapore.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Zariah with the Prime Minister and wife then proceeded to the dais to receive the royal salute.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Singapore was played, followed by the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam.

The Prime Minister of Singapore was invited to inspect the guard of honour, escorted by the RBAF Commander.

Towards the end, the Prime Minister of Singapore was introduced to the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Ministers, RBAF Commander and RBPF Commissioner, as well as the Head of Foreign Mission, and the Permanent Secretary (Protocol) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Zariah were also introduced to the delegation from Singapore.
