His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar yesterday consented to receive in audience Singapore Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong and wife.
Also present at the audience at Istana Nurul Iman were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah the Crown Prince, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah, Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul 'Azim, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam.
Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr George Yeo, Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang, and also Minister of Manpower and Second Minister of Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen were also in attendance as part of the Singapore Prime Minister's delegation.
After the audience, His Majesty the Sultan and the Singapore Prime Minister held a separate meeting to discuss further strengthening of the two countries' diplomatic ties, before proceeding to Baitul Rahmah to launch the commemorative B$20 polymer notes in conjunction with the 40th Anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement. Mr Lee Hsien Loong, wife and entourage arrived in the country yesterday morning on a two-day visit.
