His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Yasuo Fukuda on the occasion of Mr Fukuda's appointment as the new Prime Minister of Japan.
In the message, His Majesty wished the Japanese Prime Minister much success in his new post and looked forward to strengthening the existing warm friendship and close cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and as partners in the region.
