Hulubalang rules sports in MSPSBS By Huraizah Ahmad Hulubalang House emerged as the overall champion team for the Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan (MSPSBS) 32nd Sports Day at the Youth and Sports Welfare Track and Field Complex in Berakas. The event on Thursday morning involved over 1,500 students from Lower Secondary 1 to Upper Secondary 5 as well as Pre U 1 & 2. According to MSPSBS Principal Pg Hajah Sarah binti Pg Hj Kamaluddin, this year's sports day saw greater enthusiasm from more students involved. The annual event, on top of academic commitment, emphasises the importance of a healthy lifestyle via sports activities, she added. The sports oath read by Zulazmi Hj Abd Mutalib was followed by field events involving 120 members from the four-team houses namely Pahlawan, Hulubalang, Panglima and Laksamana. Her Highness Pengiran Anak Khaliilah Khalilatul Bolqiah was among those in the march-past for the Panglima House. Also present to support her team was HH Pg Anak Na'afiah Khairul Bulqiah. Students underlined the commitment in preserving the environment in conjunction with World Earth Day where different coloured bins for cans and plastic were deployed at the sports venue, the MSPSBS Principal noted. - Borneo Bulletin (27th April 2007)
