Over 100 supervising teachers and male uniformed cadets from various schools and colleges in the Sultanate participated in a tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.
Organised by the Co-Curriculum Department, Ministry of Education, the event was held in conjunction with Teachers' Day that was celebrated on September 23 and also to give blessings to the late Almarhum Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien and Almarhumah Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit.
Among those present at the event was Awang Arsad Haji Hadis, Director of Co-Curriculum.
The tahlil ceremony was held to remember the goodwill of the late Almarhum Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien and other teachers in the country who have contributed their efforts and dedication towards education.
