His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, His Majesty's Special Envoy to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, accompanied by Princess Mansurah Izzul Bolkiah, yesterday morning attended the Opening Ceremony of CHOGM 2007 at Kampala Serena Conference Centre.
The biennual meeting of Commonwealth Leaders was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Head of the Commonwealth.
The ceremony began with addresses by President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, the Chairman of CHOGM 2007; outgoing Chairman, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi of Malta; and outgoing Secretary General Donald McKinnon.
After the openng ceremony His Royal Highness joined other heads of government in an informal executive session.
