Congratulatory messages on royal birth

Singapore leaders sent congratulatory messages on the birth of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's grandson, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim Ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, last Saturday.

In a press release from the Singapore High Commission, Singapore President S R Nathan sent his warmest congratulations on the birth of the prince to His Majesty and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha as well as His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah.

"Your Majesty and Her Majesty must be most happy to be blessed with the birth of the prince and beloved grandson," the Singapore President said, wishing Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses all happiness on this joyous occasion.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, on behalf of the government of Singapore, extended heartiest congratulations to His Majesty on the birth of a baby prince to HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah. He also wished His Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses continued happiness, good health and success.

Meanwhile, Senior Minister of Singapore, Goh Chok Tong and his wife sent their heartiest congratulations to HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah on the joyous occasion of the birth of a prince. The Singapore Senior Minister also said that such a blessed event is indeed to be celebrated and wished the young prince good health and good fortune. - Borneo Bulletin (24th March 2007)
