Congratulatory messages to Pakistan

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send a congratulatory message to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

In his message, His Majesty greatly valued the longstanding and friendly relations between Brunei Darussalam and Pakistan and expressed his hopes to work closely with General Pervez Musharraf to deepen and widen the scope of this relation in the years ahead.

His Majesty also expressed his hopes that General Pervez Musharraf would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of Pakistan to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

At the same time, in a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Shaukat Aziz, His Majesty congratulated the prime minister and government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the Pakistan Day.

His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations between the two countries. His Majesty also expressed his wish that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefit of the two countries and people.

His Majesty prayed to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala the Almighty for the continued good health and happiness of Mr Shaukat Aziz and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.

In a separate congratulatory message, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, presented his warmest congratulations and best wishes to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mr Mian Khurshid Kasuri and to the government and people of Pakistan on their republic day.
