RBAF high tea for royal birthday

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and General Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), yesterday consented to attend a high tea reception in conjunction with HRH's 33rd birthday celebration. Accompanying His Royal Highness to the gathering were Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik.

Held at the officers' mess in Bolkiah Garrison, the event was presented by officers of RBAF.

Their Royal Highnesses were greeted upon arrival by the Commander of RBAF, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awg Hj Halbi Hj Md Yussof, as well as Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Pg Dato Paduka Mashor Pg Hj Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Defence as well as Service Commanders and Commandants.

Among those at the high tea were Military and Civilian Directors, Senior Officers and Officers of MINDEF and RBAF.

The event commenced with a group photo session with RBAF Senior Officers followed by a viewing of a pictorial exhibition portraying all the working visits of His Royal Highness to MINDEF and RBAF throughout 2004 until 2006.

His Royal Highness consented to sign the Royal Parchment, cut the birthday cake and receive a 'Pesambah' presented by the Commander of RBAF.

A 'Doa Kesyukuran' was recited by Lt Col (U) Hj Abdur Rahim Hj Abd Karim, Head of RBAF Religious Department (JAMA'AT).

Their Royal Highnesses consented to mingle and receive greetings from officers of RBAF and their spouses. (21st February 2007)
