By James Kon

MV Doulos, the world's largest floating book fair has recorded more than 18,000 Brunei visitors since Friday, and is set to surpass the 19,000 recorded in its last visit in 1999.

HRH Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah visited the ship yesterday and who was met by Doulos' Captain Ashley McDonald, Director Daniel Chae and the ship's crew.

Tomorrow, Friday, is the last day to visit MV Doulos, which is open to the public from 10am to 9pm, at the Muara Port.

There will be the World in Brunei, a family day to learn more about the world, and another chance to meet the international crew and learn about life and work onboard the ship. There is no admission fee to this event.

The name Doulos is Greek for servant. All volunteers onboard have come with the desire to serve the people of Brunei Darussalam.

The project has been described as a genuine expression of international goodwill and understanding. - Borneo Bulletin (1st Nov 2007)
