Crown Prince arrives in Manila

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah arrived in Manila yesterday afternoon for a visit to the Republic of Philippines on the invitation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Their Royal Highnesses were greeted on arrival at the Bulwagan Kalayaan Villamor Airbase by Mr Noli de Castro, Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines; Major General Alfredo Bungen, Inspector General, Philippines Air Force (PAF); Virginia H Benavidez, Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines in Brunei Darussalam; and several officials of the Philippine government.

Also present to greet Their Royal Highnesses were Emaleen Abdul Rahman Teo, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of the Philippines and officers from the Embassy of Brunei in Manila.

At the airbase, His Royal Highness also received and inspected a 'Foyer Guard' from the Philippines Air Force.

His Royal Highness will be competing in the 2007 World Pool Championship, which the Republic of Philippines is hosting from November 3 to 11, at the Araneta Coliseum.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince is accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Muntaqim and Prince Abdul Qawi. - Borneo Bulletin (1st Nov 2007)
