Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha yesterday attended the Istiadat Bernikah or solemnisation of the marriage vows between YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir and Hjh Norashikin Hj Johari at the residence of HRH Princess Hjh Nor 'ain in Jalan Tutong.
Also attending the event were HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Zariah as well as other members of the royal family. The royal entourage was greeted upon arrival by HRH Princess Hjh Masna.
The event began with YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir being invited and led to sit on a square cushion surrounded by four ceremonial candles.
The Akad Nikah began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah. Pehin Dato Hj Awg Abdul Salim then performed the Akad Nikah with YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir affirming his acceptance of the marriage solemnisation.
Lafaz Ta'liq' was then read by YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir who later signed the solemnisation form followed by Pehin Dato Hj Awg Abdul Salim. A doa selamat was then read.
YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir then paid his respects to Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Zariah as well as other members of the royal family.
