His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to receive in audience Pakistan's Minister of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Division, Mr Ghulam Sarwar Khan, at the Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.
Accompanying the Pakistani minister were Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Mohd Yusof, Brunei's Minister of Home Affairs, and Major General (B) Syed Halder Jawed, the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei.
Also present were Datin Paduka Dayang Hjh Salbiah binti Hj Sulaiman, the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, and Dato Paduka Awang Hj Adnan bin Hj Hanafiah, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
During his three-day official visit to the Sultanate, the Pakistani minister will discuss the possibility of utilising manpower from Pakistan in various segments of Brunei's economy.
